Add and edit legs

Create a leg on the dispatch board with the New Leg modal, and let flight time fill itself in.

  1. Open Dispatch from the Dispatch & Ops navigation. The board is the tail-axis timeline — one row per tail.
  2. Select + NEW LEG in the toolbar, or click an empty slot on a tail's row — either opens the same New Leg modal, seeded with that tail and time if you clicked a slot.
  3. Set TAIL (restricted to fleet aircraft that aren't marked OFF), ORIGIN and DEST (ICAO pickers), and SCHEDULED OUT.
  4. Watch the EST FLIGHT / EST BLOCK line: once tail, origin, and destination are all set, the modal computes a still-air block-time estimate and pre-fills SCHEDULED IN for you.
  5. Edit SCHEDULED IN by hand if you need a different value — once you do, the auto-fill stops overwriting it. It only ever fills a value you haven't touched yourself.
  6. Fill in PAX, and optionally a TRIP ID (suggested from legs already on the board) and LEG SEQ if this leg belongs on an existing trip, plus any NOTES.
  7. Select CREATE LEG.

The estimate is computed, not asked for — you never type a flight time by hand. If the route can't be flown nonstop by the selected tail, the modal shows a non-blocking BEYOND RANGE chip instead of a number; if the estimate is unavailable for any reason, the line shows nothing rather than a guessed time.

To create several legs for one trip at once instead of one at a time, use Build a trip from a quote — its leg table computes the same estimate per row.

Editing an existing leg reopens the same fields from the leg's detail drawer on the dispatch board.
