Charter Operators
Run fleet quoting, the embeddable quote widget, the broker portal, owner accounting, and compliance certificates.
Documentation for charter operators — the operator team that prices trips, wins business, and keeps owners and compliance in order. This track covers your fleet, quoting (in the OS and the standalone Quote Desk), the broker portal, owner accounting, and the compliance verdicts that gate everything.
Each job maps to a shipped surface — the OS console (/os), the Quote product
(/quote), or the broker portal (/broker). How-to links point at stable URLs;
where the write-up has not landed yet, that is where it will live.

Quote-to-cash: sales jobs
The full spine, in order — a request comes in, you build and clear it, the customer accepts, and the money follows:
- Receive a request for quote — the three ways a trip request reaches your RFQ inbox: the quote widget, inbound email (with replies threaded onto the record), and manual entry.
- Triage the RFQ inbox and convert it to a quote — work an incoming request and turn it into a linked quote record.
- Build and price a quote — single-leg or multi-leg, with negotiated rate cards applied automatically.
- Clear the approval queue — maker-checker sign-off and below-floor approval before a quote can be sent.
- Send a quote to the customer — the email delivery posture and the copyable accept-link fallback.
- What the customer sees: the accept page — the tokenized public accept page and the pending-verification attestation step.
- After the win — the money chip, the trip that's already been created, and the deep link to open it.
- Collect the deposit and get paid — auto-minted deposit invoices on either accept path, the customer pay-link, and the manual mark-paid fallback.
- Follow up on open quotes and re-engage — auto-created and customer-raised follow-up tasks before a quote goes stale.
- Record win/loss and decline reasons — attach a structured reason to a lost quote and read the win-rate rollup.
Fleet & operations
- Manage your fleet and aircraft records — register tails, categories, and per-aircraft detail.
- Configure your pricing — hourly rates, pricing policy, floors, and below-floor approval.
- Embed the quote widget on your website —
drop the
embed.jsQuote widget onto a third-party site. - Run the standalone Quote Desk — the dedicated quoting workspace for Obsidian Jet Quote tenants.
- Work the broker portal: browse → issue → cert — search availability, issue a deal, and settle it.
- Read compliance verdicts —
understand what each gate checks and why a trip is
PENDING_VERIFICATION. - Mint and version a compliance certificate — issue an immutable, append-only private attestation (a new cert per change).
- Manage owners and owner payouts — owner records, statements, and settlement.
- Review bookings and revenue — the bookings-and-revenue report across your fleet.
- Publish rate cards and jet cards — standing rate cards and prepaid jet-card programs.
- Track audit readiness — see where evidence is missing before an audit.
Compliance verdicts are never "compliant" or "FAA approved" off seeded or
modeled inputs — they read PENDING_VERIFICATION until authoritative data is
verified. A certificate is a private attestation, not a regulatory approval.
