Set up your fleet

Add your tails and set the hourly sell rate each one quotes at.

Every tail needs an hourly sell rate before it can quote — this is the number the quote engine actually charges from, not a cost figure.

Steps

  1. Go to Fleet (in the Dispatch & Ops section of the console sidebar). This is your tenant's aircraft roster (aircraft_reference), separate from the demo fleet shown before you've added your own aircraft.
  2. Add an aircraft. Click Add to open the aircraft drawer. Fill in the tail number, make/model, category, and base at minimum — the rest (cabin dimensions, weight-and-balance figures, safety certs) can be filled in later.
  3. Set the hourly rate. In the same drawer's commercial section, enter the tail's hourly rate in dollars. This is stored as hourly_rate_cents and is the sell price the quote engine uses directly — it never derives a price from a cost basis, so if you track cost separately, don't expect it to feed pricing automatically.
  4. Or bulk-import a fleet. If you're onboarding several tails at once, use the CSV import instead: a header row of tail,make_model,home_base_icao,hourly_rate_cents,... and one row per tail.
  5. Confirm the fleet step is done. The Setup checklist's pricing step only ticks once every active tail has a rate set — a tail with no rate quotes at $0, so an incomplete rate is worse than an incomplete record.

Tail numbers in any example, screenshot, or seeded demo data must be N0-series (N0427X) — the FAA never issues a real registration starting with a zero.
