After the win: the money chip, the trip, and where it went

Winning a quote is not the end of the record — it is a handoff. The moment a quote goes WON, Obsidian Jet has already created the trip behind it and started tracking what has been billed and paid. This page covers what a rep sees on the pipeline right after a win, and where to click through to keep going.

1. The WON column shows money, not just a stage

On the Quotes pipeline, a quote that moves to the WON column keeps showing a chip after that — it does not go silent about money once it is won. The chip reads one of NO INVOICE, SENT, PARTIAL, or PAID, sourced from the same payment-state read Won Bookings uses, so the two surfaces can never disagree about one booking's money state.

1. Open the Quotes pipeline and find a WON card or list row — for example a fictional trip for KTEB → KPBI on tail N0427X.
2. The money chip sits next to the WON tag. NO INVOICE means nothing has been billed yet; SENT means an invoice went out with nothing paid; PARTIAL means a deposit or partial amount cleared with a balance still owed; PAID means it is collected in full.
3. If an invoice has been minted, click the chip to jump straight to that invoice record — never a dead chip or a search-by-id detour.

2. The trip was already created

You do not build a trip from a WON quote by hand. On acceptance — whether the operator marks the quote WON on a phone call or the customer accepts through their emailed link — Obsidian Jet inserts the trip record in the same transaction as the acceptance, carrying the quote it came from and the account it is billed to.

1. Accepting a quote (on either the jetos_pro plan, which also promotes a dispatch leg, or quote_standalone, which records the win with no leg) creates one trip, status confirmed, linked back to the quote.
2. Nothing further needs to be built — the trip already exists the instant the quote shows WON.

3. Open the trip from the quote — never type an id

The quote record carries a live link to its trip, both right after you accept and any time later you reopen a won quote.

1. Right after accepting, the confirmation panel on the quote shows an Open Trip → button once the trip has resolved (alongside Open in Dispatch → when a leg exists).
2. Reopening a WON quote later shows the same Open Trip → button in its WON banner, so the link isn't a one-time thing you have to catch right after the win.
3. Clicking it opens the Trip Workspace directly on that trip — no id to copy, paste, or hand-type anywhere.
